My wife has good ideas. Meg finds epic adventures and plans them for me and I get to come along and enjoy them. She found the Akimina Ridge trail in Canada and decided we should run it. It’s a 13-mile loop that straddles an alpine ridge on the US/Canada border. It’s maybe the most fun run I’ve ever done and the views of glaciers and mid-run swims in alpine lakes made it even better. I recommended this book to several people last month and I am re-reading it myself. It’s a must-read for anyone wanting to create something.
Parting thought.
If you live in the northern hemisphere then this is your last bit of summer. It’s hard to not dread the change. Instead, I intentionally spend time outside and notice each day’s changes. Stress comes from not living in the present, and September is a hell of a “present” to live in.
